Reasons why Filipinos are NOT RICH! Part 2

4th, Movies and Soap Operas teaches that rich guys are bad. I’m an avid fan of “The King”, Fernando Poe Jr. and back in a day like to watch Soap Operas such “Mara Clara” and “Vallente”. Only recently I realized that those things that I’m watching are not helping me to think and grow rich. Because the bad guys there are the rich ones and the oppressed are the poor and the humble.  The impression is rich people are bad. You’re not noticing it but these things do affect our mind set, hindering our delicate mind in aspiring to be rich. To be rich is good if you let the Power of Choice in you to choose for the good.

5th, We are taught that “The LOVE of money is the root of all evil.” Or “We cannot bring our worldly possession after we die.” These things are true, but we tend to focus on the negative side when we can learn from which that money is not the problem but the possessor or “The LOVE”.  It is ironic that we are taught that we can’t get two things.  But we can and yes we can achieve both healthy soul and healthy pocket. And here’s what I think, people do fall

Reasons why Filipinos are NOT RICH! Part 1

Just a few days ago, my brother in law, Rambo R. Ruiz, shared his experience and ideas as he attended a one day seminar on how we can be rich by Mr. John Calub.  This is how I understood him.

1st, Most of us, if not all, are taught by our parents to “Study hard, get a nice job with nice benefits.” And if we won’t, we’re a looser, not accepted in the society. Hence, we have to for us to have a secure future and sustain the FAMILY. And I think, this idea has been implanted all over the world. One big concern with this practise is that it creates FEAR.  Fear of not having a nice and secure life if we will not study hard. And when our grades are low, they’re upset which for some leads unpleasant behavior. They’re focused on the numbers not on the situation. Never, if not always, asked what we really wanted. On the other hand I don’t blame my parents, because they we’re taught the same thing. Suffice to say that "We’re taught to be a good employee not a good employer."

2nd, Schools doesn’t teach how to be rich either. They have implemented the same thing being taught at home. “Study hard, get good grades to have nice and secure job with awesome benefits!”  Otherwise you won’t and will be labelled as a “looser”.  “You have to be number one so that you can have the top position being employed.”They don’t merely create FEAR but also machines. Why is that? Ask yourselves if your education helps you “think” or helps you to memorize?

Exercising is Boring!

Have you ever asked yourself or noticed that most of us know how important exercise is but less does it? Most people know its effect to our muscles, joints or even nerves but haven’t done any or less effort at all. Some does it, but after which they smoke or drink or has chosen to follow their vice. Others over do it, to the extent of using drugs not meant for humans.  There are some who sincerely and constantly do exercise, but has started doing wearing gray hair. Younger years have left them and now

What would you do if you only have 10 minutes of your life?

There could be a lot of answers to this simple question. I remember back then when I’m still finding for a living. The interviewer asked this question and though I’m not the one being asked, I still pondered what will I answer in case. After the applicant answered, the interviewer shared what he would do. I can’t recall his exact words but it goes something like this. “I would do the same thing, go to bar and drink ice cold beer.”

What will you do anyway? Would you do the same thing (hopefully not to drink beer)?  Or will you do that which you haven’t done or things that you lack doing? Going back with that experience, I do remember the answer of the applicant. He said “I’ll spend it with my FAMILY.” And i guess that is a common answer we can hear. However you can sense that there is something in it, if you could only hear how he said it. Since it’s a panel interview, we have
